two pieces for a woman who has to learn from the consequences of her actions, we all know the type...
EVICTSHUN
you have been put out
it took them about three years
so why are you hanging round
the premises, you can get
crackerjacks anywhere
but i guess you just need to
be around these same folks
that you let bring you down or
that you brought down
you were a nice looking woman
at one time but you let the booze
and the crackerjacks bring you down
you tried so long to outslick the slickest
but it no longer works
you have tried to outslick the churchfolk
but they now see through you
and you don't have that backing you
used to have.
you never convinced me for i saw through
you the whole damn time, the slick, sly
snake that i see in you, the times you
played your music too loud, the knocks
on your door all nite long, the slamming
of your door, the visitors, you did not even
consider me in all of your dealings and now
since you have been evicted you want
sympathy, i don't think so.......
you should have thought about all of that
when you were having fake fun.
i never even bothered you, i was trying to
concentrate on my schoolwork, i'm in
college which you don't even consider
all you care about is booze and crackerjacks
and i wonder what PRIZE is in the box now.
diamond
suppose she returns and hides out
she becomes a fugitive and a squatter
FUGITIVE
oh so after two days out on the lam
you are back in hiding
in the apartment for who let you in
someone unknowingly with a new key
for those locks were changed
yes i am upset and it may be none of my
business but i don't want you around here
that's how bad off you are you are a nuisance
it's not your brother, friend, lover whoever you
want to blame..it is you.
i have no use for you, i want you away from
my sight, you can't even live in the"projects"
that's bad, that's real sad
why don't you play your music now, play it
loud, you're black and you're proud, says
james brown
why aren't you running in and out now
you're a FUGITIVE, you're in hiding now
somewhat like our sister angela but without
the big fro and the ed-u-ma-ca-shun.
oh you know what i'm talkin bout
you you got no business in there
you have been evicted and should be off the
premises, why so quiet...where's the profanity
that you are always professing
oh you got that much clout that someone
unlocked that door for you, you need to leave
the crackerjacks alone
yeah, i never felt this low for someone
so you have really taken me out of my
character but you can't come back here and
start no mess for you have
been given so many chances and with no remorse
oh but i guess i need to confess to God today and
ask for a kind heart, a forgiving spirit but I don't
feel anything good for you at all right now I just
have genuine love for mankind and I guess you
are included in that but that is about it. you have
been evicted and you need to be away from me
i don't care to see you and you know what?
you can run, run, run but you sho can't hide...
can you tell me who sung that song?
oh, are the crackerjacks really that strong...UUMM
UUMM,UUMM........that's a shame!
let diamond speak!

whoooo, you are on fire. Well, I don't blame you for being frustatrated. It can be hard when you are trying to be progressive and someone is trying to block all tht you are trying to do even with the small inconveniences of loud music, walking at strange hours. I once had a neighbor who was on fire. She either had a mental condition or just was weird, I'm not sure, but her apt was above mines, she was almost on the border of harassing me. She kept calling management sayng I was jumping up and down, but she was the one with the issue. She had the nerve to call the police, and it got to the point, I had to move to another apartment, because it kept going on for months on end. The management didn't want me to leave, because I'm a good tenant, so they gave me a better apt for the same price, and I got away from her crazy butt. She still stays in the building, but she's on meds and better now. For your current neighbor has anyone spoke to her about getting in a shelter, or a referral to a community organization to assist her with her needs. There has to be some over there in NJ. Or would she not be receptive to that type of help? Keep your head up Diamond~
Talk about poetry being therapeutic! You poured that right out onto the page Sis. It is a sad state of affairs but people have to realize that the choices they make (good or bad) have consequences & sooner or later it will all come back to them. I hope that she gets the help that she needs & I sincerely pray that you have peace. Peace, power & poetry!
it is hard to get rid of a leech, a blood sucking one at that! This is her territory..her crackERjacks are here..credit can be had...
